How Digistore Gets You Paid
Digistore offers an affiliate program for various digital product owners and for affiliate marketers like you. All you need to do as an affiliate marketer is find a product in the Digistore Marketplace that you like, and use your various traffic sources (email, Facebook, YouTube, blogs, etc.) to promote it.
When someone buys a product that you’ve promoted using your Digistore “promolink”, you receive a commission for leading that customer to the sale. You'll see the total amount of money you’ve earned on your Business Cockpit dashboard.
So here’s the question:
How do you go from making a sale and seeing it in the Business Cockpit, to receiving the money into your account?
Well, in this article I'm going to walk you through the entire process.
Which Payout Method Is Best For You?
First, you'll have to decide which payout method works best for you. Digistore offers different payout methods and each one has its own benefits and drawbacks, depending on how you run your business and how you like to receive money. (Remember that you can switch between them at any time.)
The first option is a bank transfer. We provide a few different bank transfer options for your convenience: an international bank transfer, a US bank transfer (ACH), and a SEPA bank transfer. You’ll need to check with your bank to see which they accept, and naturally, any fees that may be included.
In order to make this transfer easier for you, we can send it in the following currencies: USD, EUR, or CHF. Please note that, for tax reasons, fees for installment payment products and assigned claims from joint vendors can only be paid in the currency of the purchase.
The other option that we offer is payment through PayPal. PayPal is the most popular and most secure third-party payment processor on the internet.
In order to receive payment through PayPal, you’ll need to go to the PayPal website and sign up for an account. PayPal will then ask you for your payment details. You can then use PayPal to make transfers directly into your bank account, withdraw from supporting ATMs, or get your money through other methods that PayPal offers, but Digistore doesn't directly support.
How Much and How Often?
Lastly, before you're able to receive the money to your desired account, you'll need to set both the number of payouts you’d like to receive each month, and the minimum payout threshold.
Digistore offers payouts options of once a month, bi-weekly, and every week.
The default payment threshold is set to 50 units of currency, in whichever currency that you've chosen. 50 is the minimum, but you're free to raise it as high as you would like. This can be helpful if you would like to put a hold on receiving your payouts until you have certain financial details worked out with your bank, or PayPal account.
To choose your minimum payout threshold, all you need to do is log into your account, click the “Account” tab, put in any numerical number where it says “Payout threshold”, and then click the “Save” button at the bottom. This will be the new minimum for your account.
With that, you’ve completed everything you need in order to start receiving affiliate commission payouts from Digistore.
All you need to do now is figure out which products you’d like to promote.
